A burglar took a wrong turn into LL Cool J’s Los Angeles home early Wednesday morning, resulting in a confrontation with the rap star. The intruder was detained by LL Cool J until the police arrived on the scene.
TMZ says the incident took place around 2:00 a.m. when a prowler entered the house and was caught by LL Cool J after he tripped the alarm system. The two were involved in a scuffle, which of course, the rapper won. Reuters reports that the 58-year-old invader was a homeless man. There is no word on the name or injuries sustained by the intruder, but police say he will be charged with burglary.

LL Cool J’s spokesman released the following statement on the incident:

“LL Cool J, and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern. As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter.”
